ABOUT BACKUP POWER

Our KOHLER backup generator systems include:

  • The Generator Unit
  • Automatic Transfer Switch
  • Battery Charger
  • Distribution Panel

The KOHLER generator continuously monitors power coming in from your utility line. When power is interrupted, the automatic transfer switch in the generator unit senses a loss in power and starts the generator. This happens within 10 seconds.

The generator then supplies electricity to the circuits you initially chose to backup. When power resumes through the utility line, the generator properly cools down and remains ready for the next power outage.

Our generators are permanently installed outdoors, similar to an air-conditioning unit, and operate on either natural gas or liquid propane (LP). It can also be hidden by bushes, trees, plants or other landscaping.
